Incredible wristwatch from the one and only Patek Philippe. Every Patek is special, but a vintage one that measures 37mm is simply incredible. The reference 2481 has a huge case with concave bezel and stepped lugs. This 18crt. yellow gold piece was manufactured in 1957 and is driven by handwinding caliber 27SC. This great movement was used for over 30 years (starting in 1949 and stopped in 1970) in 12879 pieces.
The creme coloured dial with sweep center seconds hand is in great condition and features applied lapped hour markers and an outer pearled minute and second divisions. The same reference, but with a Cloissoné ennamel dial; was sold by Christie’s, reaching almost half a million dollars!
This piece comes with a black alligator Patek Philippe strap and a Patek Philippe yellow gold buckle. Accompanied by the extract of the archives stating it was sold one year after production, on October 25th, 1958.
