Description

Patek Philippe 2526

So many reasons why 2526 deserves a very special place in the history of the Calatrava. Let’s start with a look under the hood. Not unimportant; it features the very first automatic movement ever produced by Patek! I wouldn’t be the first to name the Cal. 12-600AT the best automatic movement ever produced. It features a “Gyromax” balance wheel, Swan neck regulator and self-compensating Breguet spring. Most impressive, when you take off the screw-down caseback, has to be the 18k gold, decorated rotor!

Back to the outside of the, elegantly shaped, 36mm measuring watch. The crown is beautifully designed and features the 2 P’s. But most important about this watch is the dial. There are very few watches with a twice baked enamel dial! Patek really stepped up their game on this vintage dresswatch.
