Excellent example of a beautiful classic by Rolex. This piece from 1981 is in mint condition and all original with a whitegold fluted bezel and silvered dial. They don’t make ‘m like this anymore, luckily we do sell ‘m like this. Looks so cool on an Oyster strap don’t you think?
After World-war 2 Rolex created the first self-winding waterproof chronometer wristwatch that featured a date indication. For the first 10 years of production the date, shown at the 3 o’clock position, was not yet enhanced by the well-known ‘Cyclop lens’. This lens was introduced in 1955 and magnified the date by 2.5 times. The Cyclop lens isn’t the only invention, that we can still see up to today, the Datejust set in motion. The Jubilee bracelet was designed especially for the Datejust. The iconic elegance of this 5 piece bracelet is a great match to –arguably- one of the best buys in the vintage watch market.
