A watch that is "flipping" amazing. Pun intended.
We have seen the Cartier Tank in many iterations but this is our first Reverso. Most people, when they hear Reverso, think about the famous Jaeger LeCoultre. However, Cartier has always been known for their experimental designs and daring creations. Just look at the Cabriolet Reversible, which later became known as the Basculante. Same principle, but a different angle as it flips over from the 6 to 12 o’clock side.
Now what we have here is the beautiful blend between design and functionality. This Cartier Reverso, dating back to the 1970’s, sits in an 18k yellow gold case, which measures in at a strong 33 x 23 mm case. The case remains in good condition. Underneath the mineral glass sits the classical white lacquered dial, which shows its charismatic age with minor cracking on the periphery. It houses the manual caliber 610 which is the driving force behind the beautiful, blued steel, sword hands.
The watch is carried by a black lizard strap with original Butterfly clasp. If you’re looking for a classical watch that dates back to the times that the houses of Cartier from New York, Paris and London would compete between each other in designs and as such create such beauties as we present to you today. Here you go.
