Uncommon wristwatch by Omega from the late 50s. Not often do we see a gold-cap Ranchero with waffle dial.
In the late 50’s Omega combined some strong design features from the Railmaster, Seamaster 300 and the 1st gen. Speedmaster to create the Ranchero. It knows a very short life-spawn of only 2 years because of resistance from Spanish customers concerning the name. Although it was made to be an entry-level wristwatch it is now highly collectable and valuable because of the scarcity from its short production run. The Ranchero’s that were made all have a couple things in common; the 3, 9 and 12 markers, decentral seconds at 6 o’clock and the 30mm (width of the manual winding movement) on the dial.
