Archi Works is a Manufacture intemporelle; a confidential independent microbrand founded in 2022. Its watches blend Swiss watchmaking expertise with a distinct Parisian design sensibility. Founded by Richard D. Ménasé, Archi Works reflects his enduring passion for horology and his extensive experience in the watch industry since 2015.

Amsterdam Vintage Watches is internationally renowned for trading some of the rarest vintage timepieces. At the helm of this family business is second-generation owner Jasper Lijfering, known for his unorthodox and personal approach, with exceptional quality and the client experience at the heart of everything he does.

Over nearly a decade of working together, Richard and Jasper’s business relationship grew into a friendship, inspiring them to combine their strengths and create something of their own. The result being 2 iterations of “the Diplomat” reference 1.87. (Amsterdam Vintage Watches was founded in 1987)

The Diplomat is our tribute to the vintage watches we love finding, collecting and preserving. There is something truly special about discovering a vintage watch that has remained untouched for decades. That rare feeling is what inspired The Diplomat. We wanted to create a watch that felt like it belonged to another era, capturing the charm, elegance and craftsmanship of vintage watchmaking.
Inspired from mid-century watchmaking, the three-part construction 35 mm stainless steel case combines an ultra-thin sloping polished bezel, a subtly brushed case and an engraved exhibition sapphire caseback. The long, slender lugs, with their curved profiles and drilled tips, recall traditional case designs, while the slim profile gives the watch its understated elegance.

There are 2 configurations: The "Aurora" and "Azure". First mentioned has faceted emerald baguette markers at 12, 3 and 9 o’clock combined with brilliant round-cut diamond hour markers, set against a finely brushed silver chapter ring. A warm yellowish minute track and a delicate railway-style chapter ring frame the dial, adding depth and vintage character. At 6 o’clock, a recessed small seconds register features a warm yellow centre, finely graduated markings and a blued hand. The Azure has sapphires instead of the emeralds and are set against a finely brushed silver chapter ring. A darker grey minute track and a delicate railway-style chapter ring frame the dial, The curved « Amsterdam Vintage Watches » double signature follows its upper contour, while the discreet brand signature sits perfectly balanced beneath 12 o’clock.

The La Joux-Perret Peseux 7001 reveals its traditional Swiss finishing. Presented in the Soigné grade, the movement features bridges decorated with elegant Côtes de Genève, sunburst-finished bevels (biseau soleillé), polished wheels and heat-blued screws. This caliber is 2,5 mm thick, offers a 50-hour power reserve and is tested for 5 ATM.

The Diplomat is made of 316L stainless steel, measuring 35 mm without crown, 19mm between lugs, 8,65 mm thick excluding the glass (1,4 mm) and comes fitted with a - Made in France - Handcrafted 19 mm Oxford Saffiano leather strap with quick release bars from Molequin and a premium leather travel case stamped Archi Works, delivered with a Certificat d’origine. All timepieces are individually numbered on the side of the case. This execution is a limited edition of 100 timepieces of each configuration.
