He is back with a vengeance.
Jump on the GG bandwagon with this amazing Biretro. A historical important model and characteristic complication that was revived by Bulgaria in 2019 in a, less elegant, "Arena" case. One has to prefer this over the more modern iteration as it measures the perfect 36mm, a true sweet-spot for most; especially when the case is rather thick. The side of the case has a beautiful coin-edge pattern and the mushroom crown emphasises Gerald Genta his great eye for design. All executed in 18k Rose gold
The dial itself is incredible for its symmetrical lay-out with retrograde minutes and date, indicated by white swordhands. The jump-hour date makes it even more playful and really pops. To make things interesting, this exclusive execution of the Biretro is made with a Tahitian Mother-of-pearl dial, making one appreciate the guilloche pattern even more.
This watch was purchased around 2005 in the States by a Dutch businessman. As he has quite a collection, this watch did not get a lot of wrist time; hence the original croc strap is still present and rather fresh. It also comes with the original box, papers and GG buckle.
Gerald Genta is now under LVMH and you bet the Arnault family will commercially milk the name and heritage. Here is a great chance to own an actual one from the era where he himself was still around.
