We are proud to release the first ever denim watch strap. We gave birth to this idea by sending bits and pieces of an old Tenue de Nimes jeans to the legendary Kaufmann company in Germany.

Kaufmann is a third generation, German based company, specialized in creating accessories with pure artisanal workmanship, down to the very last detail. A perfect watch strap takes effort and craftsmanship to achieve the utmost in quality. After receiving the first samples we felt that the missing link within the concept was the perfect untouched denim fabric. This is where and when Tenue de Nîmes got involved. Together with fabric master Marco Bonzanni at Kurabo they selected a beautiful raw denim fabric to utilise in our straps: a sky blue selvage fabric, sourced from the legendary Kurabo Mill in Japan. Please note that it takes nothing less than 85 work steps to complete a handmade watch strap. Hence, the factory craftsmen glue, stitch, grind and sew every single strap in house. Despite a complicated production process, getting the strong and heavy denim stitched to durable rubber, we managed to make a strap that is waterproof and can even be thrown in the laundry once a while. The result is a beautiful and unique Tenue de Nimes x AVW watch strap that will last a life time!

Please note: all straps feature a unique fade so your order will differ slightly from the pictured strap. Suitable for watches with a 20mm lugsize. The buckle is 16mm. Please provide us the preferred buckle in the description of your order; either stainless steel or gold-plated.
