Pick your green poison. Introducing a bright green, third generation, Stella dial in an 18038 Day-Date.

When it comes to Stella dials, a number of different colours exist, and since the paint was mixed by hand; almost none of them have exactly the same tone. However when we look at the pair that we offer to you today, they did a pretty good job as it's pretty much identical. We're also happy to share that this particular specimen is in a superlative condition in every way. Most importantly: the green lacquer is absolutely pristine, whereas many Stella dials have developed cracks over the years. Moreover, its magnificence can be best enjoyed around the day and date window; where it displays the thickness of the glaze. Lastly, the tritium luminous compound in the hands and the plots have turned sensationally creamy and match perfectly.

This third generation Stella dial, with black print, is in a league of its own. As many avid collectors would agree; an exceptional dial, such as this one right here, requires the right case and bracelet. To many, the best packaging for such a vibrant dial is the ref. 18038 Day-Date: the classic 36 mm 'fat' Oyster case with the iconic fluted bezel and a timeless President bracelet. A match made in heaven.

This wonderful timepiece dates back to 1979 and comes with a sturdy and scratch resistant sapphire crystal that protects the most important part of the watch. Day-Dates from this period are powered by the caliber 3055, an automatic movement with a convenient single-quickset mechanism which allows you to individually set the date. Its fat case remains in very strong condition with thick lugs and sharp lines. All this goodness is carried by a President bracelet that shows only little stretch. She comes as a full set as it's accompanied by the original box and stamped papers.
