Introduced in 1984, the Royal Oak Day-Date Moonphase ref. 25594 became one of the longest-running references in the Royal Oak collection, remaining in production for more than two decades. Combining the iconic Gérald Genta-designed Royal Oak case with practical calendar complications and a beautifully balanced moonphase display. This reference was produced in steel, yellow gold, and the two-tone steel and yellow gold configuration seen here.

In 1987 this example was born, featuring the grey Petite Tapisserie dial, complemented by yellow gold applied markers, hands, and calendar surrounds. The combination of the cool grey dial with the warmth of the two-tone case gives the watch a vintage character while remaining versatile. At 36mm, the proportions are true to the original Royal Oak and wear beautifully thanks to the integrated bracelet and slim automatic movement. The watch remains in excellent condition. The bracelet is in superb shape, with the AP logo still deeply engraved in the clasp. The dial is clean and free from any spots, and the case retains strong, with well-defined edges.

Powered by a self-winding calibre with day, date and moonphase, the 25594SA represents an era when complicated Royal Oaks were produced in relatively modest numbers and largely appreciated by collectors.
