The 1970s and 1980s were among the most creative decades in Audemars Piguet’s rich history. Those years stand out particularly for the maison’s exotic designs.This geometric beauty from the early 1980s clearly takes inspiration from the iconic Royal Oak with its sharp lines and an integrated bracelet. The case and accompanying bracelet are executed in stainless steel with vertical 18k yellow-gold stripes, earning it the moniker ‘Zebra’. The rectangular case measures 25 x 30 mm. Yet, due to the wide integrated bracelet it wears a bit larger, making it an excellent choice for gentlemen as well as ladies.The dial features the same striped effect as the case and bracelet, giving the watch a beautifully harmonious look. The dial is quite simple to not distract from this effect, with an applied 18k yellow-gold AP logo, the printed “Audemars Piguet” signature, and classic 18k yellow-gold dauphine hands.This watch runs on a handy ultra-thin quartz movement, which gives it a slim profile. The watch is in excellent condition with sharp lines and a tight bracelet.
