Jaeger-LeCoultre Geomatic E399After the respect JLC gained for producing the manual wound Geophysic in 1958, they launched a more accessible chronometer in the early 60s: the Geomatic. It was produced until 1970 and only 2000 steel and 2300 gold models were ever produced. This sought-after model claims an important place in the history of this brand, yet is still kind of affordable, especially compare to the Geophysic. Both measuring 36mm but the Geomatic has an automatic movement. Furthermore, it is supplied with a beautiful sunburst dial with applied markers and logo + date function at the 3 o’clock position. Also make sure to take a look at the caseback with gold “Planisphere” logo!
