Imagine, you own a vacation house near your favourite beach. Of course you have acquired yourself a boat and to have some fun on your holidays – why not – you have also bought yourself a jet ski. What watch would you wear in that case? The Patek Philippe Aquanaut; the perfect watch to wear on your jet ski! Or… if you don’t own a jet-ski yet (which you should) this is your go-to watch for relaxing on the beach. In 2007, Patek Philippe replaced the old references by the new reference 5167A. Amsterdam Vintage Watches has it in store! A stainless steel, highly-polished case and a brushed finish on the round, octagonal bezel. It measures 40 mm in diameter and is powered by the upgraded calibre 324 SC. The tropical strap, which matches with the black embossed dial, has a nice, stainless steel butterfly clasp. A fun fact about the strap: if it’s too big for your wrist, you have to get a pair of scissors to cut the length. What else is there to say about this marvelous Patek? Well, it’s in good condition. It has just some very small scratches since it has never been polished and only worn a handful of times. The watch dates back to 2011, comes with its inner and outer box, its certificate of origin and the booklets.

Introduction

Patek Philippe AquanautIntroduced in 1997 under reference 5060, this luxurious sports watch probably is the most iconic timepiece of the ‘90s. A recognizable, steel octogonal case – pretty similar to that of its bigger brother the Nautilus – but fitted on a tropical (rubber if you will) strap. The first watch ever made by Patek Philippe that came on a rubber strap. The strap even matches the embossed dial. It measured 36 mm in diameter and was powered by the, for watch connaisseurs, famous calibre 330 SC.
