Piaget is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and what better way to honour that by introducing this gem to you all, today.
Established in 1874 by Georges Edouard Piaget, the brand initially focused on crafting precision watch movements before its transition into becoming a renowned watchmaker. Piaget was highly innovative by introducing ultra-thin movements and as such even setting records with Caliber 9P in 1957 and in 1960 with the world’s thinnest automatic movement Caliber 12P.
This beautiful example we have for you, executed in 18k white-gold, is a prime example of the craftsmanship of the brand. Piaget has always pushed themselves to consistently bring the most beautiful creations and with this piece we can obviously confirm that. What really stands out is the dual time complication beautifully displayed on the dial. The guilloché dial itself compliments these two silver and black dials perfectly. Both dials with our favorite Breguet-style numerals. The bezel with its hobnail motifs, integrates two thin crowns at 3 and 9 o’clock. What you've also might have noticed, is the Asprey signature at 6 o'clock. Since 1847, Asprey, with its store on New Bond Street in London, has been synonymous with absolute luxury. Having supplied the royal families from the Middle Eastern with exclusive pieces from renowned brands like Rolex, Patek Philippe, and as we can clearly see here; Piaget.
This classy piece, dating back to the late 1970's, is in excellent condition and a rare find on its own. The combinations of the Asprey signature on a guilloché dial with two individual dials complimented by Breguet numerals creates a wonderful harmony. An absolute collectors item.
