THANK YOU! The Datejust. The cornerstone of our store. Many people around the world absolutely love the Rolex Datejust, and so do we! It’s such a stylish watch that has so much historical value and simply, looks great on anybody’s wrist. However, this piece really is something special because it has a classy Buckley dial. Watch collector and trader John Buckley named these dials after himself. Basically, these watches have printed, rather than applied, Roman numerals and this instantly provides the watch with a classic look. Even more, this is a reference 1601 and Buckley dials are not that common among 4-digit references. This Rolex dates back to 1965, has an 18k yellow-gold fluted bezel and an 18k yellow-gold, 36mm-measuring case, which are both in good condition. It comes with a leather strap (of choice) and this makes it a perfect dress watch. 

Introduction

Rolex DatejustIn 1945 Rolex created the flagship Datejust to mark the company’s 40th anniversary. This model was the world’s first self-winding wristwatch with a date indication. With the Datejust, Rolex also introduced the iconic 5-piece jubilee bracelet, first in solid gold and later in bicolor and stainless steel. On the tenth anniversary of the Datejust in 1955, the magnifying ‘cyclops lens’ was introduced on the Datejust.
