The Rolex Datejust 16200, the perfect all-rounder that can be worn with either your tracksuit or your tailor-made suit. You just can’t go wrong with this sophisticated and understated piece. It was 1999 when Rolex stamped the serial between the sharp lugs of this stainless steel, timeless piece of art. The watch has a case size of 36 mm and runs on calibre 3135. Carrying reference 16200, this Datejust is executed with a smooth - also called domed - bezel, which is something you don’t see that often on a Datejust. This piece comes on a stainless steel Oyster bracelet which is just the perfect match. Underneath the sapphire crystal we’ll find a black (!) dial with applied baton index.
Introduction
Rolex DatejustIn 1945 Rolex created the flagship Datejust to mark the company’s 40th anniversary. This model was the world’s first self-winding wristwatch with a date indication. With the Datejust, Rolex also introduced the iconic 5-piece jubilee bracelet, first in solid gold and later in bicolor and stainless steel. On the tenth anniversary of the Datejust in 1955, the magnifying ‘cyclops lens’ was introduced on the Datejust.
