Mother of Pearl is better known as Nacre, which is the iridescent lining you find on the inside of a shell. Swiss dial makers use refined techniques to cut a perfectly round, thin layer of Nacre from the inside of the Pteria Margaritifera, a rare shell that you can find in the Pacific Reef. However, this piece is extroardinary! First of all, the Mother of Pearl dial has such a beautiful shine. Furthermore, the watch has an 18k yellow-gold applied Roman index, which makes it stand out even more. Finally, the condition on this 18k yellow-gold and stainless steel watch is, what we call, insane! This example dates back to '93 and is powered by the caliber 3135. The Jubilee bracelet has no stretch at all, the case barely has any scratches and the lugs are still thick. This truly is a Datejust for someone who dares to stand out from the crowd.
