On top of that, it is factory-set with diamond indices!This two-tone reference 16233 from 1995 comes in the classic Datejust packaging: a beautiful 36 mm 18k yellow-gold and stainless steel case with an 18k yellow-gold fluted bezel and a matching two-tone Jubilee bracelet. Usually the gold and steel details on the Datejust would be the star of the show, but on this watch the magnificent dial takes the spotlight.Executed with a beautiful red vignette effect, the dial transitions from a vibrant burnt orange in the center to deep burgundy on the outer rim. On top of that, the traditional gold hour markers are replaced by brilliant-cut diamond hour markers.The watch houses Rolex’ caliber 3135 self-winding movement with the handy quickset date function. The watch is in excellent condition with a super sharp case and exceptionally tight Jubilee bracelet. Oh, and as an additional detail: the watch comes with the original box and papers as well!

Introduction

Rolex DatejustIn 1945 Rolex created the flagship Datejust to mark the company’s 40th anniversary. This model was the world’s first self-winding wristwatch with a date indication. With the Datejust, Rolex also introduced the iconic 5-piece jubilee bracelet, first in solid gold and later in bicolor and stainless steel. On the tenth anniversary of the Datejust in 1955, the magnifying ‘cyclops lens’ was introduced on the Datejust.
