From Ethiopia to Amsterdam. Is this the rarest day disc (Amharic) out of the 26 languages? One of those things you always hear exists but never actually saw, until now!

This Day-Date combines many rare features. Apart from the Day disc, the white metal "Bark" configuration is scarcely seen. It started with ref 1807 that was in production until 1978, when it was succeeded by this single-quickset 18079. The bezel, however, has been replaced at certain point with a Bark-finish of a later type: the 18249. Another eye-catcher has to be this diamond and sapphire set dial, known as 'Pleiade'. It displays a beautiful canvas of understated bling, whilst maintaining legibility.

This beauty from 1980 just came back from a full service at Bucherer.
