When Migos released the song; "Ric Flair Drip", they were referring to a non-existent Patek Philippe reference. Well thankfully we at Amsterdam Vintage Watches only do the real thing and this Day-Date just screams; "I am. The Rolex wearing, Diamond ring wearing, limousine riding, private jet flying son of a gun!"

As you are all well aware by now; is that the Rolex Day-Date is amongst our favorite models to have in our collection. Especially with rare configurations such as this.

Let start off with the generation. The 182xx series, introduced in 1988, is the fifth generation of Day-Dates. This ref. 18238 dates back to 1989 and features the updated caliber 3155 automatic movement with the convenient double-quickset function to separately adjust the day and date discs. All this goodness is housed in an 18k yellow gold case at the, in our modest opinion, perfect size of 36mm.

Now as you all must have noticed, the absolute star of the show is the dial. This factory laved dial is filled with brilliant cut diamonds and sapphires on the indices. A combination that is rarely seen and as such something we proudly present to you today. The brandname and model are displayed on applied cartouches.

The watch is preserved in impeccable condition, with thick lugs and sharp fluted bezel. The caseback sticker is still present and the hallmarks are clearly visible. To top it all off it comes attached to the no-nonsense, iconic President' bracelet with concealed folding clasp showing little to no stretch.
