The ‘Zenith’ Daytona probably is the vintage Daytona with the fastest popularity growth in the last few years and that’s for a multiple reasons!

First reason; it doesn’t have 4-digit reference prices yet. Second reason; it doesn’t have a horrible ceramic bezel. Third reason; it looks absolutely gorgeous. Of course, we have to stay a little bit objective but the 5-digits are definitely one of our favourites within the Daytona family.

This specific Rolex Daytona is made out of stainless steel and 18k yellow gold. It carries reference 16523 and runs on the famous Zenith-based chronograph calibre 4030.

On the champagne dial we’ll find three black sub-dials with ‘Daytona’ in red above the middle hour-dial. The warm dial is carried out with tritium filled applied baton markers. The watch’s case, as well as the gold and steel Oyster bracelet, are in perfect condition. The stainless steel case and 18k yellow gold ‘400-unit’ bezel are still really thick and there’s barely any stretch on the bracelet.

In our opinion this gold and steel Daytona is, without any doubt, the perfect combination between sportiness and class. With the combination of gold and steel you definitely have the best from both sides for an astonishing price.
