One of the most renowned configurations of the GMT-Master is most definitely the 'Pepsi'. The 1675 was introduced in 1959 and was in production for more than 20 years. During its production, this reference has been subject to various alterations on both, an aesthetic and technological level.
This 1675 has a beautiful "red-back" bezel inlay, which has elegantly faded over time due to the factors of nature. This GMT-Master dates back to 1964 and has "Pointed crown guards". With its 1.1M serial it belongs to the very last batch of this coveted feature. Luckily, it also still comes with the original 'Gilt Dial', which retains a perfect mirror gloss. The combination of "PCG" and a gilt dial without closed minute track is only seen around this production period and is rather rare. The lumeplots, together with the original hand-set, with small GMT-arrow, have created a stunning yellowish hue matching perfectly. The 40mm case that houses the calibre 1575 is carried by a stainless steel and folded Jubilee bracelet with '55' end links.
Here at Amsterdam Vintage Watches, we are big fans of the 1675 and are happy to offer this watch to its new owner.
