A top piece from Vacheron et Constantin made in 1945. It is exceptionally large with a case diameter of almost 38mm. The fancy lugs are admirable and makes the look of the watch even more interesting. The applied gold index is dynamic to say the least with the use of Arabic numerals, dots and stretched diamond shapes. The hands are very thin and elegant. All 18K yellow gold, just like the buckle, attached to a brown alligator strap.
Introduction
This outspoken Vacheron & Constantin from 1945 has an unusually large case measuring a whopping 38mm! The large diameter is offset by the fancy lugs, making for a classy dress watch in a modern size. The dial features a wonderful mix of applied Arabic numerals at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 positions, alternating dot and diamond-shaped indexes, and elegant thin hands. The entire package comes, as you would expect, in 18K yellow gold (with a matching V&C buckle!) and is attached to a brown alligator strap.
