This stunning Royal Oak just looks right from every angle. Executed in 18k yellow gold, this iconic Audemars Piguet is the reference 14700BA, one of the shorter-lived series with a wonderful appearance.

The ref. 14700 was the predecessor of the well-known and much longer manufactured 14790. Although both references share a lot of key features like the 36mm case, there is a notable difference in proportions. The 14700 features a thinner bezel and therefore a larger dial. It may sound like a small detail, but gives a significantly more open feel on the wrist. Because of these beautiful proportions, this reference has the nickname 'Mini Jumbo'. The 14700 has only been manufactured for about one years, even though it is hard to determine how many examples left the factory we can surely say this reference is very rare.

The champagne-coloured dial has the characteristic Petite Tapisserie pattern, adding to the recognizable image of this typical 1970s design. This example is featured with applied yellow gold hour markers and matching hands in the same alloy. We think the warm champagne colour, combined with the 18k yellow gold case and integrated bracelet works so well.
