This example carries the coveted Mk2 dial: white petite tapisserie with the elongated hour markers and brandname with capitalized A and P. The so-called “long markers give the watch a distinct early character. The proportions feel different from later executions. Slightly more open, slightly more architectural. The slim batons stretch elegantly across the textured grid, framing the day and date indications without crowding them.

The layout remains one of the most harmonious complicated Royal Oaks ever conceived: day and date balanced across from each other and the moonphase anchoring the lower register. The brushed surfaces and polished bevels catch light in sharp contrasts, while the integrated bracelet remains as fluid as ever: an industrial design executed at haute horlogerie standards.

It dates back to 1994, before subtle design evolutions softened the original intent. It comes with its box and papers and additionally the extract of the archives. It is kept in extremely sharp condition and the dial displays some charming discoloring towards the periphery.
