Beautiful, understated and stylish wristwatch from 1950. Cal. 89 is famous and not without any reason, one of the best movements that ever came out of Schaffhausen and often housed in beautiful sophistication. Preserved in good condition and executed in rose gold.A dresswatch is a vital part of any formal outfit. Many modern examples of 'chique watches' don't meet the demands of a true gentleman, have a lack of elegance and are way too big. To emphasise your class you can go for a vintage piece. Whilst the average size for such a piece back in the day was around 32 mm, this one is a so-called 'oversized' piece. Perfect for present-day fashion with its 36.5 mm measuring case. The slim case is made out of 3 components and features incredibly stylish lugs. The dial is off-white and features applied Arabic quarters and a baton index. It also comes with an applied minute-track and we think you should know that one dot is missing under 10 o'clock. The watch is still supplied with its original rose gold crown and leaf-like hands. Nowaday, they just don't make them like they used to.
International Watch Co.In 1868 Florentine Aristo Jones, an engineer from Boston started International Watch Co. in Shaffhausen, far away from the “watch centre” in the western of Swiss. He started the company near a hydroelectric power station to provide his machines of power so he could carry out his passion to make one of the world’s finest mechanical watches. As a result of their perfected craftmanship, the internal vocational training for their watchmakers and their refusal to do massproduction, IWC still makes not only one of the world’s finest, but also one of the world’s most stylish dress watches.
