Rolex Datejust 1603This beautiful Rolex from ’72 is as you see a little bit more special then most of the Datejusts. It has the amazing ‘Linen finish’ sigma dial. That means that both hour markers and hands are gold. A ‘sigma dial’ can be recognized by the sigma signs in front and behind the tritium indications at the bottom of the dial. The funny thing is that ‘Sigma’ (σ), the 18th letter of the Greek alphabet is pronounced as our letter ‘s’ but Rolex decided to use it as as the letter ‘o’ from ‘Or’ that means gold in French. So when you are a fan of the Datejust just like we are but want to distinguish yourself from al the hundreds of thousends of datejust around there, this is your watch.
