 A yellow-gold Day-Date is just too plain for some of you crazy motherfuckers. That’s why we got this factory-set baby for you!The 18048 is a special sub-reference of the 18xxx series Day-Dates that features a wonderful factory diamond-set bezel. The classic champagne-colored dial also features diamond indices, alternating between brilliant-cut markers and baguette-cut quarters.The watch dates back to 1979 and sports the improved caliber 3055, which for the first time introduced a quickset date function in the Day-Date line. The watch features a 36mm case in 18k yellow gold. The matching 18k yellow gold President bracelet with concealed folding clasp is in great condition, showing some minor stretch.

The Day-Date was the first waterproof self-winding chronometer certified wristwatch with a day and date function. And to top it off, it was only available in gold or platinum! Rolex also designed a new three-link bracelet, known as the ‘President,’ to pair with this special watch. With exception of the most modern executions, the Day-Date comes exclusively in a 36mm case.
