A rare, very sought-after and historically important model, being the father of the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona as we know it today. The reference 6238 belongs to the the last line of watches that didn’t bear a model name on the dial. However, it’s known among collectors and aficionados as the ‘Pre-Daytona’. We can clearly see the inspiration for the Rolex Daytona, which was taken from the second series of the 6238. For your information, the first series from 1961 and 1962 looked more like a reference 6234 because it had the same case size, baton hands, pushers and crown. The model we have on offer is produced in various dial colours and in both gold and steel.
