A legendary Submariner that needs no introduction. The 1680 was the first reference of the Submariner to bear the date complication. Having sold quite a few 1680's over our years of existence, we can concur there are many variations of this stunning Rolex Submariner.

What we have here is no exception, the 1680/8 is the fully 18k yellow gold execution. Complimented with this stunning 'nipple' dial that was originally blue and has turned to a rugged grey color over the years. Back in 1978 the original customer purchased this watch with blue dial and blue bezel. Considering the dial has faded to this stunning grayish color we, at Amsterdam Vintage Watches, have unanimously decided to carefully take the original insert out and replace it with this perfectly matching faded black bezel. Additionally we will provide a blue bezel too, in case you would prefer the original color configuration.

Having every aspect of this watch fall in to perfect harmony, it is also in a great condition. The heavy 18k golden Oyster bracelet comes fully linked and sits tight on the 18k yellow golden Oyster case.
