2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak and such a momentous occasion calls for a momentous watch.

Well, the ref. 15400 is just that. While the iconic Royal Oak has gone through several size iterations over time, the original 39 mm ‘Jumbo’ execution from 1972 retained literal big brother status. That is until 2014, when the ref. 15400 with the oversized 41 mm case hit the market. Bigger and even brasher than ever before, it is the perfect watch for those among us with a larger than life personality (or just with freakishly wide wrists).

This 15400OR from 2018 is executed in 18k rose gold, giving this hefty beast a warm and pleasing glow, and comes with the iconic Gerald Genta-designed integrated bracelet with hidden deployant clasp. The black dial features Audemars Piguet’s iconic ‘Grande Tapisserie’ pattern with elegant long applied indices and a discreet date black-on-black date window at the 3 o’clock position.

The 15400 is powered by Audemars Piguet’s in-house caliber 3120 automatic movement. The watch sports a see-through sapphire caseback, which gives the owner an unobstructed view of the exquisitely finished movement with the 22K gold rotor.

The watch is in excellent condition and comes as a full set with the original box and papers.
