Thunderbirds are go!

The Datejust Turn-O-Graph or Thunderbird, developed for and worn by the U.S. Airforce Thunderbirds. An official military watch that was not only Rolex’s first pilot watch but also the first Rolex tool watch and the first series-produced Rolex with a rotating bezel.

Next to all the comforts and beauty that the regular Datejust provides, the Turn-O-Graph has a bi-directional turning bezel, giving it a sportier look and an alternative feel. This Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph reference 1625 dates back to 1962 and is absolutely breathtaking. The watch is executed in the exceedingly rare 18k rose gold case with a diameter of 36 mm. Unlike its predecessors (the 6309 and 6609), the use of this metal alloy is extremely rare for this reference. After extensive research we could only track down two other pink gold 1625. Thanks to the factors of nature combined with the materials used by Rolex, back in the day, has created this incredible, evenly faded, brownish hue. The original Jubilee bracelet in matching metal is a rarity in and of itself, even more so when preserved in this condition.

The entire watch has been preserved very well and shows only few signs of its age. Not visible by the untrained naked eye, but there is minor corrosion on some markers with and a subtle hairline in the lacquer on the bottom half of the dial. But yeah, find us another one. We even challenge you to find another watch in this price -bracket that is this rare and so incredibly attractive.
